Temple of Karnak — Hypostyle Hall
Description
The Great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak is one of the most astounding architectural achievements of the ancient world. Its 134 massive columns, some reaching 24 meters, supported a roof that dwarfed worshippers in a forest of stone. The hall was decorated with elaborate reliefs by Seti I and Ramesses II.
