Mask of Tutankhamun
Description
The golden death mask of the boy-pharaoh Tutankhamun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1925. Made of 11 kg of solid gold and inlaid with lapis lazuli, carnelian, obsidian, turquoise, and colored glass. It has become the most recognizable symbol of ancient Egypt.
